- Inappropriate behavior in a team can sometimes sneak up on you in the most unpleasant ways. For example, the team is working so well together on the project, and then someone shares an off-color joke or a lewd remark about an ethnic group. What's worse is that a member of the team identifies with that ethnicity or culture. The remark was meant to be funny, but as soon as it's uttered, the person's facial expression reveals how wrong it was to say it. Words can be painful. So how can the manager turn this into an opportunity to address the behavior and encourage the team to correct each other if inappropriate behavior happens again?
