Preparing text for republishing
- One common mistake that I see a lot of people make is when they're preparing text for social media or blog post. A lot of times, extra formatting is included that they didn't realize was there. It's really important that you scrub this content. Let me show you. For example, here, I've opened up a document in Microsoft Word, a book chapter that I want to exert. Well, in this case, I have formatting for different heading levels. You'll see some bold and hyphens, et cetera, and some special formatting for captions. Well, let's grab this content and move it across. I'll highlight it here and choose Edit, Copy. Now let me switch. I'll go first to a text editor and I'll paste. You'll see that it attempts to move the content over, but it didn't come through exactly right. Now let's go in and try to paste that into a blog post for a moment.
