It is a tool for quality control, and for enabling teams to reduce risk, by finding design issues properly, and in a timely manner. Additionally, it facilitates a communication between project team members. From the use of Workspaces, to an ease of navigation, Navisworks makes viewing model data simple, but the greatest power lies in the ability for Navisworks Manage to do clash detection on your terms by setting up rules, the creation of clash detection categories, the setting of tolerances, and creating custom views, mark ups, and reports.
