- When you know what you want and like, decisions are easy. Think about it. If you're a vegan, you're not likely to frequent an ice cream shop but may prefer shaved ice. As Roy E. Disney said, "It's not hard to make decisions "when you know what your values are." As a fundraiser, you bring value to a donor's evaluations of your nonprofit. In today's lesson, you'll gain a better understanding of the donor's decision-making process and the level of your influence as you move towards a partnership with them. Prospects use a five-stage process, known as ASADA, when making a decision about donating to a cause. The fourth stage is decide. At this stage, the prospect is motivated to donate, has conducted research, and has assessed nonprofits that can help them act on their desire to donate.
