Fundraising at its core is relational, and the cause selling cycle is a great way to ensure that you identify the right people to help with your cause, make the right impressions during meetings and presentations, learn the cues for asking for a gift, and stay in touch to continually build a mutually beneficial relationship. You now have the tools and opportunity to build relationships, establish trust, convey passion and conviction for your cause while behaving honestly and ethically. As you build relationships with prospects and donors, remember to value their time, how they come to a decision, and their unique social style.
