Demo: Changing the shape of a VM DB system

(futuristic music) - [Eddie] Hello, my name is Eddie Ambler. In this demo, we will go through how to change the shape of a VM DB system using the OCI console. Changing the shape of the VM does not impact the amount of storage available to the DB system. However, the new shape can have different CPU memory and network bandwidth characteristics. Let's start the process of changing our VM shape by opening the navigation menu. Click on Oracle database. Then click on Oracle base database VM. On the left, ensure that the compartment chosen is where the DB system resides whose shape we want to change. For our demo, let's click on my demo DB system. On the DB systems details page, note that the shape is VM standard 2.2. Near the top of the page, click on change shape.
