(logo humming) - [Leo] Hi, my name is Leo Alvarado. In this video, we will cover performing a database failover and to reinstate a database using Oracle Data Guard. In the demo, I will demonstrate how to perform a database failover and how to reinstate a database. Let's begin by opening the navigation menu of your OCI console. Under the Oracle Database, click Exadata on Oracle Public Cloud. Choose your compartment, then navigate the Cloud VM cluster that contains the Data Guard association that you want to perform the failover. You initiate a failover operation by using the Data Guard association of the standby database. Click on the standby database. Then under the resources, click Data Guard associations. For the Data Guard association in which you want to perform a failover, click Failover. Then, enter the database admin password. Then, click okay.
