(soothing digital music) - [Leo] Hi, my name is Leo Alvarado. And in this video, we will going to cover how to perform a database switchover using Oracle Data Guard. Let's begin by opening the navigation menu of your OCI console. Under the Oracle database, click Exadata on Oracle Public Cloud. Choose your compartment, then navigate to the cloud VM cluster that contains your primary database that you want to perform the switchover. On the VM cluster details page in the Database section, click the name of the primary database. You initiate a switchover operation by using the Data Guard Association of the primary database. Go to resources, then click Data Guard Associations. Click the Actions icon and then click Switchover. Enter the database admin password, then click OK.
