And in this video, we will be covering how to perform a patch operation on a Database Home on an Exadata database service on dedicated infrastructure. In the demo, I will demonstrate how to perform precheck on the Database Home prior to patching and how to patch the Oracle Database Software in a Database Home. Let's begin by opening the navigation menu of your OCI console. Under the Oracle database, click Exadata on Oracle Public Cloud. Navigate to the VM cluster that contains the Database Home you want to patch. Under the Resources, click Database Homes. Click the name of the Database Home you want to patch. Then under the Database Software Version, locate the Latest Patch Available field and click View. Review the available patches for the Database Home. Click the Actions menu then click Precheck.
