Let's get started. There are two objectives for this module. The first is to describe when to use Oracle Data Pump to migrate an Oracle Database to Oracle Cloud, as well as some tools and best practices. And then we will do the same for the transportable tablespace approach. So first, Data Pump. Oracle's Data Pump is a well-known. It's a universal, it's easy to use, and it's a proven method for migrating data. It provides fast unload and load via dump file or a network mode import. It's also powerful and flexible in that it is both platform and architecture independent. It works across versions of database and it's backward compatible.
