Welcome to Oracle University Module: Migrating Oracle Databases to OCI. I'm your host, Chaitanya. Let's get started. In this lesson, I'm going to show you recovery manager duplicate from an active database and recovery manager for cross-platform cloud migrations also. The first method that we are going to cover in RMAN duplicate for an active database. So for the source database to be migrated, you will need source database name, the unique name, the listener port, service name database home patch level, and the password for system. Then we need a copy of SQL patch directory from the source database home. This is required for rollback in case the target database system doesn't include these patches. If the source database is configured with TDE, you will need a backup of the wallet and the wallet password to allow duplication of database with encrypted data.
