Welcome to Oracle university lesson: Oracle Multitenant. I am your host, Chaitanya. Let's get started. We will begin by reviewing the requirements of databases in the cloud, and then we will explore this phrase, "Isolation and Agility with Economies of Scale." We will examine piece by piece, starting at the end with economics of scale. We will move on to the agility and then come to isolation. But then I expect that you will be convinced that you should upgrade to multitenant. So I'll explain how to do that. It's nice and easy, so that part will be quick and we'll leave time for a brief review of use cases and customer success. Before we examine multitenant, Oracle's Cloud database architecture, it makes sense to understand the requirements of databases in the cloud. Customers face great pressure to consolidate their databases in the cloud. These business drivers may be categorized as economic pressures and operational pressures.
