Welcome friends to the Oracle University module on Source and Target Options in OCI. I'm your host, Bennett. Let's get started. In this module, I'm going to show you use cases of database migration, followed by the supported database versions and the target platforms by OCI Database Migration, DMS and Zero Downtime Migration, ZDM. In the first release, our service is going to support Oracle databases, Sources 11-19. We have a requirement that the source database should be on Linux and it would be interesting to see if we are going to have other use cases that need other non-Linux operating systems. This requirement is because we are using SSH to directly execute commands on the source database. For this, we are certified only on Linux. Targets in the first release are autonomous databases, ATP or ADW, both shared and dedicated. For agent environment, we require Linux operating system and this is Linux safe.
