Welcome friends to the Oracle University module on Zero Downtime Migration. I'm your host, Bennett. Let's get started. Having covered ZDM physical migration, let's now talk about ZDM's logical migration workflow. ZDM's logical migration workflow allows for in-flight upgrades. This means you can migrate a database and at the same time upgrade it to a higher version. You can also migrate from a non-CDB to a CDB database. ZDM's logical migration allows for migration to DBCS Autonomous Database ExaCS, and ExaCloud@Customer. We are working so that in the future, Exadata on-premise will also be covered by this workflow. There are two methodologies for ZDM logical migration. There's a logical offline methodology which relies on data pump export and import for data transfer and target database instantiation.
