Connecting to Excel files

- [Instructor] Extracting data from an Excel workbook is more intensive than connecting to a text file because we first need to connect to the Excel file and then read the sheets or tables within it. I combined together the yearly weather data from the CSV files into a single Excel workbook called Santa Barbara Weather 2022-2024 with separate sheets for each year. To get this data into Power Query, we'll use the Excel data connector to point to the folder location and file. Once we make this initial connection, it prompts us to select the data table or tables that we want to use within it in the Navigator window. If we rotate through the tables, we can see the names of our sheets within the Excel file. Let's select the checkbox next to 2023 and 2024. If we choose more than one table or sheet, Excel will create a separate query for each of them.
