Setting up folder connection
- [Instructor] Connecting to a folder of files in Power Query is immensely helpful because it streamlines a lot of the transformation processes and steps along the way. Receiving the same file every month in the same file type, we could spend our time importing them separately, or we could expedite the process by putting them in the same folder. We'll then have Power Query connect to this folder to set up the ETL framework. And when we add a new file to the folder in the future or many files, we just have to refresh the query to update our data. We can set a folder connections in Power Query to local computer folders or SharePoint and others. Folder connections in Power Query can contain any file type. The Power Query supports like connecting to CSV, JSON, Excel, and other files. Let's first create a new folder connection in Power Query that points to our Data Sources folder in the Exercise Files storing different data files in different formats like Excel, CSV, and image data.
