- Hey folks. Let's talk about everyone's favorite topic, roadmaps. Oh yes, I can feel almost feel your excitement through the screen. Or hey, if you're legitimately interested and came to find out the best way to do a roadmap, I've got some bad news for you. Roadmapping is an art and not a science. The debate of whether you actually need to have a written roadmap is one that goes back so far, I can remember my dad reading me bedtime stories about it. I'm kidding, but it's been a hot topic for a long time within the agile development community. So, do you need a roadmap? Well, if you're talking to agile product teams doing the day-to-day, hands on work, the answer will be no. But if you're at a larger company, talking to executives, the answer is yes.
