- [Voiceover] I want to thank you for spending time with me to learn more about Open Source and Open Source Licensing. You've learned at the core of Open Source Licensing is the intersection of Intellectual Property Law principles, primarily Copyright and Patents, and Open Source Principles, which are the 10 factors as codified by the Open Source Initiative. One of the most important things you'll decide as part of your Open Source project is the license. It is important to emphasize that the only legal way for others to use your software is through a license arrangement. The various Open Source Licenses covered in this course give you a variety of options. If you want to take a deeper dive into Intellectual Property and Copyrights, I recommend two courses both by Dana Robinson, Intellectual Property Fundamentals and Understanding Copyright: A Deeper Dive.
