- [Lisa] The Internet of Things connects people, infrastructure, and devices. However, with all the benefits the IoT can bring, it also poses significant threats to privacy. In this course, we'll start by outlining how IoT devices generate massive amounts of data that can pose a risk to our personal information. Then we'll review existing standards and regulations that protect privacy, and discuss the need to provide laws that govern what companies do with our data. Finally, we'll describe methods to select and secure IoT devices. Hello, my name is Lisa Bock, and I'm a security ambassador.
