- While there is a lot that you can do to source talent with the free and premium features on LinkedIn, if you or your company has access to LinkedIn Recruiter, there are powerful capabilities that you can use to make sourcing talent a breeze. There is a cost involved to have access to LinkedIn Recruiter. Let's look at an example search within LinkedIn Recruiter. With Recruiter, you can search the full population of LinkedIn members. That's over 830 million members globally. Using advanced search brings up more than 40 search criteria, but let's start with job title and location. For example, data engineer in Chicago.
