- Have you ever heard the saying manage your expectations? Well, this saying can easily apply to the recruiting and interview process. Imagine you're reviewing dozens of resumes and you come across that one that checks all the boxes you or the hiring manager have been looking for. You may already have an idea who you think the ideal candidate will be based on who was in the position previously. So based on this candidate's resume, your expectations are high and you invite her in for the interview.
