- You know how you scroll on your phone, but stop when there's a post that attracts you. You want your resume to be a showstopper for employers. After this lesson, you'll be able to apply specific strategies to create an engaging resume that will have recruiters sending you messages to work with them. First, find five job descriptions from the industry you want to get into. Highlight common industry words you find in each. Then update your resume to include these words. This will show potential employers your transferable skills and experiences from your current and past jobs.
