Progress update on my VRChat avatar. I like my new approach to modeling the clothing, looks a lot better than what I've done in the past. Nearly done with the modeling, finishing up the clothes and making the rest of the limbs then it's texturing time. Figured I would make a nice little turn table to show off my progress, Enjoy. In the end of 2021 i had the opportunity to collaborate with this interesting company, Revoltz, specialized in micro electric mobility. I followed the CGI video for the lunch of tri-wheels O3, from data preparation, texturing, lighting, animation and first step of editing. Due to a short timing i used Autodesk #Vred in a OGL environment, trying to bake shadow and add spotlight to create a more scenographic ambient. Glow, flare and dust particles have been implemented directly in realtime inside the timeline. OGL is still the answer for most of cases. I should adjust some camera animation but as one of first attempts, considering i didn't use raytracing i'm very happy for the result. More research conducted on real-time animation and rendering of volumetric data. This technology can be utilized with volumetric video, depth cameras, or skeleton tracking-controlled avatars. In the process, the mesh is voxelized, then voxels are animated using compute shaders. An isosurface is then extracted using the marching cubes algorithm.
