This is something that I have been slowly realizing. "Data Analyst" jobs routinely see several hundred applicants when onsite, and easily over 1,000 when remote. (That's until they take the posting down!) Some may think this is now because GenAI can automate this role. While this is to a small extent actually true and likely to increase in the future, it does NOT mean no one should learn data. Rather, it means MORE roles will touch it. I really appreciate this poster, because he lays out Data-Analyst-Adjacent positions to diversify one's job search. (After all, if we must diversify our portfolios, why not our job searches as well?)
