#MASHAdventCalendar Day 1 🎄 🎅 Metabolic (dysfunction)-associated steatotic liver disease (#MASLD) affects a quarter of the global population. #MASH (steatohepatitis) is its most severe form and is characterized by a presence of liver fat, inflammation and ballooning, associated or not with liver fibrosis. Understanding the complexity of MASH, especially how it can lead to fibrosis progression, has become an essential requirement rather than a nice-to-have information. November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, a time that brings awareness to a disease that, in 80% of cases, goes unnoticed until it becomes difficult to treat (Johns Hopkins Medicine).
