This is one of my favorite books (and I've read a ton of books). It has nothing to do with EMS, directly, and, yet, indirectly, is so applicable to EMS. I have not had a fine dining experience, and the meals and chefs and restaurants Will Guidara mentions are utterly obscure to me. Yet, having worked in retail for many years, and trying to provide patient-centered care as a Paramedic, and now with a continuous improvement and strengths-based mindset, this story resonates with me so deeply. It also makes me want to give "regular" people more than they expect. And that's a ripple that can change the world. #EMS #UnreasonableHospitality

Kentucky takes a step toward decriminalizing human error. Interesting that they isolated it to healthcare providers. What about teachers, police officers, or parents? One small step, I guess. Great article by Anastasia Brunner explaining how Kentucky tweaked their justice system.
Did you know…ambulance services are incentivized to bring people to the most expensive point of care? Many progressive forward thinking services are doing their best to keep people out of the overcrowded EDs, they’re just asking for some reimbursement. Great coverage by Marketplace.
