Great to be back again serving as emcee at the 17th Annual Hearts of Texas Luncheon, honoring Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Randy Bowman, Community Partners of Dallas and the Lewisville ISD. Volunteerism transforms lives! Thanks to Volunteer Now CEO, Rachel Currie Triska, for inspiring her incredible team. Americans gave 4.1 billion hours of service to humanity as volunteers last year. There's nothing more impactful than making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. As I share in my keynote address: "Live your life as a go-getter, yet, forever share your life as a go-giver."

Volunteerism is in crisis, and almost every community in Canada is feeling the pinch. So many events, programs and donations come from the hard work and grit of volunteers, and we just need more volunteers to continue them. Many more. Prioritize volunteering where you live... We get that you can't make all the meetings or all the events... but no one is ever "too busy" to share an hour to flip pancakes, or few hours to sort cans & bottles so we can put $$ towards the food bank.... There is something for everyone, and if there isn't - this is your opportunity to bring your ideas... Don't juggle your family time, make it your family time - and your efforts are multiplied. This isn't your Grandpa's Lions Club, anymore...... Lions has amazing training & resources and builds leadership skills. You make a world of difference in Lions.
