I guess this is our week for the news! Thanks to October Research, LLC for allowing us to speak at this years NS3 in Naples. We took a different approach by having one of our great AfBA partners take the stage for some real world Q&A. And those who are "in the business", imagine a room full of regulators, RESPA attorneys and experts, and fellow title agents and owners all there firing away with questions. The most gratifying moment came the next day when during a regulator panel, one of representatives from a state's Department of Finance/Insurance referenced our panel and said "it was great to hear from those doing it the right way!" In light of the Crowdstrike incident last month, I recently shared my thoughts with The Title Report on how prepared the title industry is for a mass IT shortage. If you recall, there were certain airlines NOT affected, and the joke was "that's because they were still running Windows 3". Funny perhaps, but in some cases, not too far from the truth! PSA to all my sleep hackers and bio trackers: (Big thanks to Kyle McDowell for the tip on this - then hearing about it on Rogan podcast and doing the research) Highly recommend checking into the Eight Sleep system (www.eightsleep.com) This is a water cooled mattress cover that has all sorts of sensors built-in to it. It measures everything that your Apple Watch or a Oura Ring or WHOOP band does plus more when it comes to sleep (screenshots below). You can customize the settings so that when you go to bed the mattress is 10-30° (or more!) cooler and then it’ll adjust throughout the night. It has alarms that will either vibrate to wake you up or raise the temperature to wake you up via warmth. I used to set the AC down to 68° before going to bed at night and now can leave it at 74 and let the mattress do the work. It has settings on both sides of the bed that allows me to have a setting and my wife have a separate setting. One of the options allows you to buy an automatic adjustable base so if it detects you snoring, it will raise your head to eliminate. Every morning it’ll send you a text automatically giving you your sleep score and initially will allow you to make adjustments pretty easily. After about four nights of sleep, it’s locked in and you really don’t have to do anything going forward. I bought the Pod 4 without the base - about $3k It’s honestly been a game changer. You feel much more rested and comfortable in bed and saves you money on your electric bills too So for all you hot sleepers out there, I think this is the solution you need ! And this is not a multilevel marketing gimmick either so I don’t get any money off of this 😂

Back in 2017, I recall getting an invite from my buddy Michael Ridgway to come to Orlando and meet these 2 guys Pat Kinsel and Adam Pase, who had the crazy idea that notarization should be done differently.
