What happens with art and certain art curators - nowadays they charge you to write about your artistic work - publications in important art and design magazines today are a scam of charging creators money to publish your work - question .. where was the Curator and Art Gallery that believes in the work of a different creator?? Its purpose is not to discover new artistic movements or does it only matter that you pay for your space in galleries and magazines? That is the reason why today the galleries are full of decoration and do not present anything new in artistic movements or thoughts... to continue creating-creating the different and innovative... in my work I do not do decoration...

It's a total failure in the Art Market to get lost in translation, tell the Artists story behind the Artwork and Stop placing 9000% on how much bling it sold for. Thine Market Puppeteers are also totally at odds with what the Market demands are, totally out of touch with both the artist and the collectors. You Keep on selling recycled works that by now, all belong in Museums. Contemporary is King but not all, There's a demand for voices that speak to the need of our time. The World is in pains of war and hunger, collectors are looking for all things moral, ethical, the juices that speak to their values. A shredded Artwork brought shock and awe when it was sold, headlines went to the Bank on this and not the story behind the protest which it was, how many more murals are needed on the Apartheid Wall for you to grasp the message? Those familiar with the industry, let these thoughts linger. It's not about how much you can get in your Banky it's about the story, the mission, the purpose, the heart and soul. I had a dog named Banky, he was my first Mural on the street, one of my first protests against cruelty to animals. Few days back I heard a cruel person calling others human animals. Excited to be part of this panel! This four-part series builds on the exhibition, Imagination and Collage, featuring artists who work within the medium of collage. Come hear about their practice! Collage relies upon profound understandings of the images and materials being used, with the ability to see beyond the realities and meanings of the ‘original’. It also invites us to recognize relationships made possible through (re)imagining already existing images in the world. The ‘cutup’ is a powerful medium to enact change and ignite imaginations, as is apparent in the history of modern collage from Cubism and Dadaism to contemporary exploration of collage that contends with the overwhelming abundance of readily accessible visual information. In General Ideas words, “Cut up or Shut up.” A statement that has become increasingly valid with the rise of the internet and digital media, pushing the limits of how we think and approach the idea of collage. TheImagination and Collage exhibition and corresponding artist panels, bring together CAA artists to collectively value collage and collage aesthetics. With a specific focus on the important qualities of this medium, which are tied to social and cultural critique. As well as a way to (re)think and (re)imagine ideas of the present and the future.

Who decides that a piece of art is authentic ? 🤝 A question that any art lover will have asked at least once in life. First, we must remember that an artwork, to be considered as such, needs to be recognized as authentic through a document, a certificate. Who issues this document? We have three options. 🧾 1. The still living artist or the gallery representing him/her, who expresses his moral values on the work of art and has the power not to recognize the authenticity of some of them circulating on the market. 2. Relatives, partners, heirs, distant relatives of the artist himself/herself if he/she is no longer alive; 3. Art experts and art historians who constitute the Archives and Foundations commissions. The former, concentrate their energies in the updating and organizing the documents and the production of an artist through databases and publications, the latter can be defined as stable organizations dedicated to the care and management of a heritage destined, with non-economic purposes, to the community. Which rules should be followed in order to draw up the certificate? 📢 This is where the problems arise. Rules, methods and practices depend on individuals, commissions and institutions, and therefore the "opinions" on the authenticity of a work of art turn out to be extremely subjective and contestable.
