Ensuring a Safer Future with the #BuildingSafetyAct 2022 At #Glodon, we understand the importance of building safety and the impact it has on lives and communities. The tragic event at #GrenfellTower in June 2017 was a stark reminder of the need for robust building safety regulations. In response, the #UK government introduced the Building Safety Bill to Parliament on 5th July 2021, which received Royal Assent on 28 April 2022, becoming the Building Safety Act 2022. This Act represents a significant overhaul of building safety regulations, particularly for high-rise buildings, ensuring such a tragedy never happens again. The Act draws from Dame Judith Hackitt’s Independent Review of the Building Regulations and Fire Safety, with #RICS closely advising the government on these critical changes. The implementation of some measures will begin this year, with a full rollout expected by 2024. #Glodon is committed to adhering to these new regulations, ensuring our projects meet the highest safety standards. Together, we can create a safer and more secure built environment for everyone. Learn more about how we’re implementing the Building Safety Act in our projects and contributing to a safer industry. #BuildingSafety #ConstructionSafety #Glodon
