Just listening to the citation gives goosebumps. What courage! Are we all made of the same stuff? Or does naval training have a magic potion to bring it out from ordinary people ?

Patriotism is one such feeling that moves mountains. Do recall how the Viet Cong under the legendary Ho Chi Minh humbled a far superior military power like the USA. Closer home, the Afghans have valiantly fought occupation forces, initially of the British and later the Russians and the Americans. Our own Army even during the 1962 Chinese invasion fought the Chinese with inestimable ferocity, even though they were equipped poorly in comparison to the Chinese. Every year, before the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi begins, war heroes are awarded and I never miss the portion when the citations are read out.

This guy is built different. Not only does he love what he does, but he is also extremely good at it. Training helps, no doubt, but it is his “kuch bhi hojae, josh kabhi kam nahi hona chahiye” attitude towards life that has helped him reach where he is now. Hardworking, passionate, super talented, and most importantly, an absolute gem of a person.

There is some magic in the military training Sir 🫡

If we are still together as a country, it is because ordinary people do extraordinary things and not because of the politicians who enjoy privileges and plunder the country

Thanks for sharing, in a world where we are consumed by insane levels of fan following for cricketers/ actors et all, these stories need to be told.

Yes, when we join armed force we are just a raw steel in a black smiths hand. The trainig heat, beat, sharpen and make us physically and mentally tough and sharp for the purpose of defending the Nation and its people as the situation arise. I am indebted to Indian Navy training for all success that I am enjoying today. Jai Hind.🌹🙏🏻😊

Navy Training is one of the best. Little bit of discipline I had in my life came from watching Navy officers everyday growing up. One regret I have in my life is to have never tried hard to wear the white uniform. Jai Navy Jai Hind. Congratulations Behera Sir.
