Recruitment can be challenging, especially when unexpected events or lack of communication from candidates can lead to withdrawn offers. However, it's essential to remember that despite our best efforts, we cannot control every outcome. I was advised last week, Vicky we just simply cannot control humans!! How very true! Throughout the recruitment process, transparency, communication, and commitment are crucial from all parties. While setbacks may occur, adhering to these principles ensures professionalism and trust between all parties involved. #lifeofarecruiter

I can't tell you how wrong this guy in the video is ... People don't hate recruitment, people hate piss-poor communication, people understand 'things change', what they don't understand is why they are treated less than human, why recruiters (& clients) ask them to put in hours of work on a task as 'part of the process' then don't afford them 30 seconds of their time to say 'really sorry, we decided to go with someone with more experience' or 'really sorry the budget got pulled'. Expecting candidates to spend hours on a CV, application process, answering pre-interview questions, doing 'tasks' or often 'unpaid work' then being so inconsiderate that you can't be ar*ed to send a line in return is just plain rude, there is no excuse at all I am Switzerland. I say all of the above as someone who has been on all sides - a client, recruiter & candidate. But I won't keep quiet when the industry is in a self-imposed sh*t pit Recruitment is a necessary process that can be enjoyable. Recruitment is in a where it is because humans make it inhumane for other humans People don't hate recruitment They hate being treated like disposable objects rather than humans It's THAT SIMPLE #TechRecruitment #Recruitment #Truth #Ghosting #UnpaidWork
