The Good, The Bad, The Ugly ( 😅 )... from Open Org this week... 🚀 The Good 👉 We ran our first ever community welcome call on Monday; an iteration on how we onboard folks here and it was AWESOME. Felt great, worked well, and lots of good feedback from the new members! 👉 We also met a few new faces who were interested in joining! (We now meet everyone after they apply, and it's been game-changing for us) 👉 I went to London on Weds to join an HR Leaders event being run by the awesome team at Instant Impact. Loved it! Thank you so much. 👉 We had some awesome 1:1 community calls, and welcomed Amale Ghalbouni to come and chat to everyone yesterday about using co-creation to get teams aligned! Thank you! 👉 We launched some reallllly exciting changes internally in our community today! 👀. Thank you to 📖 John Faulkner-Willcocks who has worked tirelessly on that- I have contributed very little here... 👉 Had some great calls with folks about company membership with Open Org! We iterated on this a little recently and it's feeling good! 👉 I heard we got a shout out on the stage at #Recfest! 🔥 (Thank you Matyas Tamasi Carvalho! - appreciate you) 👉 We've committed to doing monthly 'Culture SOS' LinkedIn Live sessions! If you're a startup people person grappling with some cultural headaches, come join in and throw some questions at us. First one is next Weds, there's a good chance you see something about it in the 'ugly' section next week... 😬 The Bad 👉 With the trip to London, and a couple of other personal commitments it's been a helluva week to try and get everything done. I've ended up having to do some pretty late nights which I'm paying the price for now 👉 Things feel like they are getting better out there but we are still a bootstrapped business trying to find out feet in a terrible economy. It's mentally, emotionally and physically draining! 😅 The Ugly 👉 John & I decided to do a recording session for something new we are working on, and both turned up having done zero preparation, thinking we would just nail it on the night... we did not. Drop off ... Async fix... rescheduled for Monday! How's your week?

Can relate to ‘the bad’ section and you have my empathy. Keep on keeping on. I’m told it does get easier. Or rather, the bad changes to other challenges that are fecking stressful in other ways!
