To the leaders trying to cancel all remote work: did you forget when we made it work during a pandemic? Productivity is about purpose and process, not place. It's driven by why and how we work—not where we work. Flexibility is here to stay. Those who reject it may not be.

Unfortunately a scorpion can't change it's ways no matter how obvious it is. In history, how many "old" companies were able to transform their culture even when they knew it would be the death of them if they did not change....I believe its the course of evolution.....strong/adaptive will survive and the narrrow/fixed minded will eventually die off.

It is a great perspective! Although I do not agree with notion that place does not impact productivity. I have elaborated more on this subject in my recent article, I would love to hear your input on it. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:ugcPost:6832585541586882560?updateEntityUrn=urn%3Ali%3Afs_feedUpdate%3A%28*%2Curn%3Ali%3AugcPost%3A6832585541586882560%29

Love this if it ain't broke don't fix it. I like being at home, I have everything I need to do so, no gas, no traffic, no dealing with ignorant drivers, why is this even attempting to be changed.

This is simply not true and too generalized of a statement. It worked during the pandemic but for many business leaders I know including myself it did not work well on many levels. So if it worked for yout industry and people great but for many industries and individuals it does not work well. I never believe there is a one size fits all solution on either a company or individual level.

I think this is something that we should ponder. Even if the pandemic ends, we can't change the reality that we survived things mostly remotely. Workplace is not an assurance of SUCCESS. Embracing the new normal is not just a TREND.
