What thinking trap worries you most? For me, it’s not confirmation bias or the Dunning-Kruger effect—it’s the bias blind spot. “Other people have flaws in their thinking, but I’m perfectly rational!” Enjoyed discussing at Brilliant Minds Foundation with Joanna Coles:

intelligence is the ability to think and learn (good); wisdom is the quality of yr judgment (even better).

Yep. It's why having people around who are willing to be honest is great. It hurts a little, but it helps a lot. I'd like to think I'm pretty open-minded about DEI. Every so often, someone shows me a bias I didn't realize I had. When I know better, I can do better. Growth over comfort. Even if it stings a little...or a lot.

Strange 🤔 Sure, there are a lot smarter people than me, but I don't see this correlation between bias (non) awareness and (higher/) lower IQ... Sometimes the arrogance 'I know how it's done', which comes before the fall... If that's what you mean? 👍 Personally, I'm always amazed how much of a bias I have... and that's the part I see and become aware of. 😱 So much so, that I don't dare judging. I can if I need to, but I won't if I don't have to.

I’m just reading this part of the book ‘Think Again’ and I confess I was like “oh man, pls don’t be another book that will tell me ‘nothing’”. And then, I am in love for the thoughts it already provoked 😂 the example from Iceland scared me and also got me thinking a LOT while sipping my beloved coffee this morning. Anyhow, the one that worries me most is the dunning-kruger effect bc this is what I deal with the most and try hard not to practice. So so annoying! Yet I’m not sure which one lives in me 🥲
