🚀 Rapid pace of innovation in Software Defined Vehicles SDV is future, and will bring a lot of transformations in current automotive process and development at a rapid pace. Few areas that will go massive transformations in recent future: 1. AI and ML - Learning and Adapting would be key moto for the SDV's and to meet the constant adaptability needs, AI and ML algorithms would be fore runners to go through positive change to improve efficiency, safety and user experience 2. Autonomous Driving technology - At high level, ADAS have been developed till Level 2/ 2+ systems and stepping into Level 3/4 boundaries, with millions of lines of codes in software and thousands of hardware components. With SDV's agnostic software and hardware designs approach, integration of both would be challenging and demand lot of innovative solutions. 3. Connected Vehicles Services - Infrastructure related to connected vehicles like Vehicle to Vehicle, Vehicle to infrastructure, cloud storage need to reach certain maturity to pave the way for smarter systems onboard futuristic vehicles. 4. Data Driven Perceptions - In today's time, vehicle is generating exabytes of data, need to understand that data, and taking data driven decisions would be key and pivotal for next-gen vehicles. "At some point we'll realize that autonomous vehicles are vastly better than human driving", says NVIDIA's Automotive Vice President, Danny Shapiro. 🚗 Chip industry titan NVIDIA emerged victorious at the prestigious CVPR competition. Shapiro, says their AI-driven end-to-end model aims to revolutionize autonomous vehicle technology. 🏆 NVIDIA, with a market value of $2.78 trillion, achieved another milestone at the CVPR conference in Seattle, securing first place in developing an end-to-end model for autonomous driving. 🤖 This model is capable of understanding and generalizing to new environments. "CVPR is an annual conference focused on computer vision and pattern recognition," says Shapiro. 🌍 "As part of the conference, there was a competition on trajectory prediction. Our research team built on LLMs and large data sets, similar to transformers and ChatGPT." 📈 The model is trained on general environments, not just specific ones, making it versatile and effective. 🚀 The end-to-end approach from Nvidia was the most accurate solution out of over 400 entries. 🥇 "Generative AI is critical for creating datasets and developing scenarios that simulate real-world conditions," Shapiro adds. 💡 This technology helps address the main problem of autonomous cars: their limited response to new situations. 🌟 Simulation testing, which can be done 24/7, allows for repeatable and controlled testing scenarios, unlike real-world testing. ⏱️ "An autonomous car is vastly better than human driving," Shapiro concludes, highlighting the potential and progress of autonomous vehicle technology. 🚘 . . . .
