Dear Recruiter, This is probably why the right candidates are not applying for that opening you advertised. Here’s an example similar to one I saw on LinkedIn earlier today: Role: HR Manager Experience required : Must have 8 years experience as HR Manager/Head of HR 📍The fact is this, the talents you seek will not apply for the job if it seems to them like they are moving to the same role. The example above just seems like a lateral move. 📍We need to be more realistic and clearer in our job briefs. 8 years managerial experience for another managerial role does not seem realistic to me. What you will get is a bunch of CVs from unqualified applicants. What you probably want to ask for is experience leading a team, not necessarily 8 years. 📍The best candidates are interested in opportunities that represent the next logical career move. You need to attract them with that job brief. In conclusion, we know that the best candidates are probably not actively searching but will most likely jump at an opportunity that presents GROWTH. So that job brief must be attractive enough to make them interested. #recruitmenttips #sourcingtips #recruiter #talentacquisition
I agree and duly noted.
Adeshola Aliogo ,ACIPM thank you for this..
Spot on
Well thought out Adeshola Aliogo ,ACIPM. Even where the client or hiring manager makes such specific requests, the recruiter must educate and not just copy and paste. Thank you for calling out attention to this.
Very true even from the perspective of a potential applicant.
Well said ma'am
Could you send me
Your conclusion was spot on .......GROWTH👏👏
I have seen many of this . Makes one wonder if you’re expected to gather skills and experience and then remain stagnant. I don’t waste time on such. Thanks for Sharing .

4yI'm happy it's coming from an HR expert like you Ma. After all an aid to the president once said you don't need a certificate to become a president. I really wonder how that is possible, but in all said, I think recruiters should take it easy.
