For a CEO, neglecting their health and fitness is the only thing that’s easy. With a mountain of work responsibilities on your shoulders, your neglect of your fitness can be a huge setback for your organization. It can severely affect your ability to make important decisions and drive your company toward success. Your mental and physical state has a direct impact on the company culture and overall productivity of the workforce. This, in turn, impacts the business growth and leads to a lack of inspiration for the employees. The bottom line? As a CEO, it’s even more important that you pay utmost attention to your physical and mental health. Some ways to do this effectively- 1️⃣ As a leader of an organization, the most important thing you’re short of is time. To avoid this shortage of time to impact your health, make smart health decisions. For example, have a planned healthy meal on work days. 2️⃣ Focus on spending slow and quiet mornings. Read a few pages, journal for a while, or practice visualization. These techniques help you create a positive outlook for everything in life including your work. 3️⃣ Stay away from screens in the mornings as much as possible. Your work-life chaos can wait. But once you get into a habit of starting your mornings by staring at screens, you’ll never know when your mental peace dies a slow death. 4️⃣ Exercise for at least an hour daily. It doesn’t matter if it’s dance or weightlifting or walking. What matters is you move enough to compensate for your sedentary lifestyle as a corporate leader. 5️⃣ Work-life balance is tough for leaders, I agree. But spending a few minutes daily to be with your thoughts doesn't hurt. It helps you stay focused and improve your creativity at work. 6️⃣ Your sleep schedule dictates your overall work life. Having optimum sleep every night is a non-negotiable to replenish your energy levels the next day. As a CEO, your fitness not only helps you in the long term but also reflects on your work decisions and the work culture in your company. Make sure you take good care of it. Do you agree with me? Would love to hear your thoughts. #Leadership #Fitness #PhysicalWellness #MentalHealth

Great investment Adish to streghthen physicals. It will address issue and prevent many for future. Very rarely corporate atheletes decides to invest on fitness - mind , body and soul. Considering the professional tenure in corporate world , which is nearly three decades, unless, fitness is valued, one is definitely risking - effectiveness and employability, even . I I believe this needs reinforcement from campus itself , so that such subjects receive attention, in early in lifestyle.

In today's work stress, I believe it is necessary to take a step back to focus on our mental and physical health. Giving ourselves the time to take a step back and relax once in a while is the least we owe ourselves.

Great thoughts Adish ji. Most realise the importance of maintaining and investing own health , late in the life . However, investing in body , soul and mind are quite necessary. In India, we don't plan enough breaks.
