Just returned from a well-deserved vacation, celebrating my 50th birthday. Getting back into the swing of things at work after a break is never easy, but it's an opportunity to reflect and share some life lessons. 1) The world is not black and white. Life is full of complexities and nuances, shades of gray that make every situation unique. Embrace the ambiguity and learn to navigate through it. 2) Getting along is more important than being right. You don't always have to win every argument. Sometimes, maintaining relationships and harmony is far more essential. 3) Nothing is more important than family. They are your rock in times of storm, your source of joy and balance. Cherish them. 4) Carpe the shit out of that diem. Seize the day, seize the moment, seize the opportunity. Make the most out of every day. 5) Let go of what you can't control. Worrying about things beyond your control only drains your energy. Focus on what you can influence and let the rest unfold as it will. As I step into the second half-century of my life, I carry these lessons close to my heart. Hoping they resonate with you too.

It’s the beginning of my very first summer holiday as an employee. YES FIRST EVER! As I wind down and transition into holiday mode, I find myself reflecting on some lessons from my year at Hintsa Performance. By the way, I never planned to leave my entrepreneurial life and become an employee, but then Hintsa just happened. 😄 My colleague challenged me just before the holidays and asked, "Hanna, what is sustainable high performance for you?" Here’s my answer: 🌟 What is Sustainable High Performance? 🌟 In the quest for excellence, it's crucial to prioritize sustainable high performance, not just peak performance. For me, this means more than just hitting targets – it encompasses: ✅ Life Quality: Feeling happy and energized, finding inspiration daily, and balancing achievement with creativity. ✅ Authenticity: Being in an environment where I can be 100% myself and utilize my full potential. ✅ Self-Awareness: Continuously discovering more about myself, honing my strengths, and understanding my weaknesses. P.S. Picture from Saturday. We were on our annual family mountaineering trip. My sister, our 63-year-old mother, and I climbed to the top of Wilder Freiger at 3,500 meters. Quite an amazing way to start this vacation 😎

I help GCs and architects create beautiful commercial spaces without all the stress | Try our newsletter - twice a month everything retail construction
Just got back from a two-week vacation. Yeah, I actually did it! Went camping in Europe with my cousins – it's been forever since I had a break like this. Totally felt like a glitch in the matrix! 😉 Biggest takeaway? Having a rock-solid team back home is everything. Rich, my right-hand man, totally nailed it. He took over the daily project calls, kept everything on track, and made sure it all ran smooth. He's a champ! This break made something crystal clear: 👉 No matter how intense the project gets, a great team is your secret weapon. They keep things moving, even when you're off the grid. To all project managers out there: Build a team you can rely on. It changes everything. PS: Full disclosure, I did sneak in a bit of work during my vacation. Despite my I-can’t-believe-I-have-to-work-on-vacation face, it wasn't all that bad. The peace of mind knowing my team had things under control made it easier to enjoy my time off. — I help GCs and architects create beautiful commercial spaces without all the stress.
