In this article, I summarized the story of the assassination of the third Rashid Caliph, Osman bin Affan. This event was recorded in Islamic history as the "Great Fitna" and the first and most important reflections of this event continue to this day. The result of this event was as follows: Five years after the assassination of Osman bin Affan, the Rashidiyah Caliphate completely ended, completely disappeared, and this system has not been revived to this day. While all the fitnas that Islamic history has witnessed since 656 AD are considered to be an extension of this great fitna, it is worth noting that Islamic unity has not been achieved since the assassination of Osman ibn Affan and that there are organizations established to revive it. However, these organizations have not been able to show any success in reviving the Rashid Caliphate system. These sincere organizations have been subject to attacks from Muslim governments before. In contrast, contemporary Salafi organizations that claim to re-establish the Rashidun system have committed acts of terrorism and become puppets in the hands of external powers that use them to attack Islam.
