Week 2 as CEO @ Affirm Software Group: Rolling our sleeves up! We've already accomplished so much in just two weeks, and the excitement of my new role is intensifying. Bringing our management team (Jo Hughes Swati Johri Amanda Graham) together during the week, we immersed ourselves in strategic sessions, unpacking our mission, vision and strategies for Onboard Express and beyond. Shining a spotlight on our team and how to develop them to be their best. Reviewing our approach from tech development through to customer success. We believe these are crucial to our continued success in optimising stakeholder outcomes. Our team is terrific and haven’t tired of me asking “why” (yet!). Leverage your brand image like tech giants to attract the greatest talent... 1. Create a strong brand image slogan & value proposition to candidates e.g Uber's slogan image is "The Smartest Way to Get Around" & value proposition is "Uber is the smartest way to get around. One tap & a car comes directly to you. Your driver knows exactly where to go. And payment is completely cashless." Take inspiration & craft your own. 2. Leverage your current network & get referrals from them to find top talent. Ask your current engineers, employees, investors, mum, dad, siblings... Guess what, I have started working at Personio 🎉 After we decided that we won't continue Fortis Studios, I started to search for a new amazing job at a company that I really like. Although there are plentiful of great companies in Europe, Personio stood out. 📈 astonishing growth over the past years and continuing to grow 👏 awesome people, from the first Interview (Laura Stronge) to meeting my colleague & work buddy (Tim Haber) ↗️ development, development and development: things are pacing fast, yet it is a company that feels not out of touch with its employees and truly cares First and foremost, this company has a product that would have ruined my student job in HR a few years ago! Not because it makes people redundant, but because it digitizes and automates much of the tedious work involved in the HR department. Often times students are hired to work on certain administrative tasks to so that HR can focus on what really matters - people.
