Really happy with this build. Multiple successful launches on D and E motors. The carbon fibre PETG used to 3D print this rocket was a good choice. Strong, stiff and heat resistant. These rocket projects are really flexing my design muscles - plenty challenging but plenty rewarding! For my next trick, I plan on sending a 3D printed rocket to Mach 1. This is a HUGE challenge, and it’ll be a small miracle if the rocket survives its first flight! The second miracle will be actually retrieving the rocket, as its apogee will be much higher than previous builds. BIG fields and low winds will be the order of the day. (For reference, the rocket in this video tops out at about Mach 0.2, or about 247km/hr.) #rocketscience #stem #3dprinting #design
