Breakthrough in space communication: Laser signals received from German satellite Researchers at the The University of Western Australia’s TeraNet have successfully captured laser signals from a German satellite, marking a significant advancement in space communication. This milestone, achieved using two TeraNet optical ground stations, promises a 1,000-fold increase in communication bandwidth between space and Earth. Led by Associate Professor Sascha Schediwy from UWA's node at the ICRAR (International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research), the team received signals from #OSIRISv1, a laser communication payload from the German Aerospace Center (DLR), mounted on the University of Stuttgart’s Flying Laptop satellite. The signals were detected during satellite flybys, setting the stage for the next-generation space communications network across Western Australia. “This demonstration is a critical first step,” says Associate Professor Schediwy. “Our next steps include connecting this network with other optical ground stations in Australia and globally.” Unlike traditional wireless radio signals, lasers operate at much higher frequencies, allowing data transfer at thousands of gigabits per second, thus overcoming the current space communication bottleneck. #Space #Satellite #Communciations https://lnkd.in/eK_UZcAp

For the sake of historical accuracy, I'd like to reveal that the concept for Orbital Bridge Launch was pitched during an Open Topic, to the US Space Force, in 2021, which, if it had been selected, would have put us three years down the road of development. Unfortunately, the individuals who were then tasked by the AFRL and the US Space Force, to identify and nurture fledgling force multipliers, thought that Orbital Bridge Launch had no merit, whatsoever. They wrote exactly that: No merit in the idea, no merit in the technology, no merit in the possibilities of commercialization, no merit in the team. These individuals literally could not, or would not, see the possibilities, even though it was clearly spelled out in 20 pages of colorful deck slides. The analysts in China didn't think so. They were at my booth just over a year ago, pilfering my launch video, and now, they announce that they are making a big push, including big breakthroughs, on what is practically the same concept. Before I went to SpaceCom last year, I wrote this on my LinkedIn feed: "Tao Te Ching Verse 41 When the sagacious learn of the True Way, they immediately begin to embody it. When the average learn of the True Way, they half believe it, and half doubt it. When the foolish hear of the True Way, they laugh out loud. If they didn’t laugh, it wouldn’t be the True Way. We're ready for a whole bunch of people to laugh at us in two weeks." Now we can see that the Chinese weren't laughing.

Quantum drives break Newton’s third law by using Rindler horizons generated by accelerating electron wave packets undergoing Landauer scattering in an insulator between two capacitor plates. The gravitational attraction between two Planck mass regions in each capacitor metal plate is broken into a half-Newton and is made to be only in one direction. The quantum drive thrust is a half-Newton in one direction of gravitational attraction between the metal plates. The effective electron Landauer wave packet mass between the plates is 2.21 times the electron rest mass. This wave packet mass is totally converted back into virtual Unruh photon energy. Virtual Unruh photon energy escapes back into the vacuum producing a half of a Newton of quantum gravitational thrust. The effective mass is gravitational binding energy mass that totally decays into virtual Unruh photons. The gravitationally bound point electron mass is one electron rest mass that exists first in the anode and then in the cathode capacitor plate. https://lnkd.in/gFwEEKdH
