Berto Aguayo, Juris Doctor. 🎓⚖️👨🏽⚖️ On Friday, I graduated from law school and spoke about the importance of community. The following day, I celebrated in the Back of the Yards neighborhood that raised me with the community that has supported me every step of the way: family, friends, and mentors. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. Your support means the world to me. Now, it's time to hit the books for the Bar exam in July! 🤓 (And, yes that is my mom with a huge smile on her face in the 3rd picture! 🥲)
Sorry I didn't get to know you better, Berto, at Northwestern, but I very much enjoyed your remarks at convocation. Congrats on your unfolding journey and best wishes to you as you embark on your next chapter.

2moSpecial thank you to Juan Ayala Jr. for capturing this beautiful moment when I placed the stoles on my mom. And, a special shout out to former Illinois Governor Pat Quinn for joining us at the graduation party and serendipitously being a part of this moment!
