Celebrating the Lazord Fellowship 2022/23 Cohort Graduation Day! On May 16, 2024 we witnessed an incredible day of inspiration and achievement as 12 change-makers took their next steps at AUC Tahrir Square. The event started with a warm welcome from Director Ali Awni of the Gerhart Center. Pakiname Mamdouh, Senior Manager at the Gerhart Center, and Nada Bahgat Lazord Program Specialist, also delivered inspiring speeches. We were truly honored to have Heba Rashed, Founder of Mersal Foundation , as our keynote speaker, sharing her invaluable insights. The agenda was filled with reflections from our graduating fellows, highlighting their transformative journey over the past year. A captivating video showcased the major milestones of the fellowship, featuring feedback from all our fellows. We also had the privilege of sharing a celebratory video from Anna and Nelly from the Lazord Foundation, the incredible donor behind this fellowship. We can't forget to acknowledge the incredible efforts of two individuals who have played a pivotal role in shaping the journey of our fellows. Osama Samir our former program specialist and Mohamed El-Zayat, the program coordinator. Their unwavering support, dedication, and guidance throughout the year have been invaluable to our fellows. The day concluded with the awarding of certificates to the exceptional mentors, supervisors and fellows, acknowledging their dedication and hard work. Once again, congratulations to the 2022/23 Cohort! We can't wait to see the positive impact you'll make in the world!
