I think people’s comments here are taken totally out of context. I thought this video amusing. Fire fighting is trying to solve problems AFTER an issue has occurred. This guy in the video is obviously trying to remove all problems out of the way BEFORE a problem happens. So definitely proactive not reactive. Anyone who believes quality control is simple is not living in the real world, especially when there is a high human factor involved. People are human and have good days and bad days. It doesn’t matter how fantastic the systems and procedures are people are people. They have good days and bad days. It’s not always easy for them to focus when they have personal issues. Has nobody heard of the term ‘the Friday Car’. A quality managers job isn’t easy no matter how good the systems and procedures are. I suggest people view this video with an open mind and chill out a little and take this video in the light humour it’s intended to be

If an organisation is serious about Quality, Their quality team doesn't have to suffer this.....They just need to implement proper SOP, Methodologies and systems to verify it to become FIRST TIME RIGHT. That's it.

Hum....it is supposed to be exactly the opposite. If this happen, the Quality Manager is not Managing Quality, for sure.

Conclusion: There's not much point applying quality, after the job is completed. As you can see in the video, the mistakes are already in place and need to be corrected. This involves more time and effort and can expose people to dangers that were never considered, when the job was first planned...
