The Development Bank of Kazakhstan took part in the annual job fair organized by Nazarbayev University. This event gave students the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the Bank and learn about employment prospects, internships and internships in one of the leading financial institutions in the country. This year the fair brought together 74 companies. DBK's participation in the job fair highlighted its strategic partnership with the country's leading educational institutions and its ongoing commitment to supporting young people in their professional growth and development. During the fair, representatives of DBK provided detailed information about vacancies, requirements and career opportunities within the financial organization, and students could ask questions and discuss employment opportunities, internships and internships. We also note that the Bank as a whole recruits young specialists throughout the year for internships and internships, and provides equal opportunities to applicants for vacant positions. Internships and practice at the Bank can be completed by both specialists with a higher education diploma and work experience in specialized fields, and students of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. Hello Connections! I am excited to share that I have become a core member of the Student Placement Committee of RDIAS. Being a part of the team, I have been given the opportunity to widen my horizons of experience by means of the diverse tasks given to us. The role of SPC is highly crucial for any college where in such committees not only are responsible for the placements of students but also for various other events. Some of the crucial tasks of SPC are as follows - ✅ Scheduling Industrial Visits - Connecting with companies and conducting industrial and corporate visits to the sites. ✅ Research - Conducting research about several resource persons and gathering data. ✅ Event Management - Managing the seminars and other events conducted by the committee. ✅ Internship Fair - Connecting with companies to offer internships to the students. ✅ Placement - Bringing companies for campus recruitment, following them and thereafter managing the job fair. How can you stick in the mind of your audience? Three things: 1. Know your audience, 2. Be present, and 3. Be different. Today kicks off careers fair season for us at unis around Europe. Know your audience: for us it's students. We have a graduate programme / management traineeship as we want to grow our own talent for our future. We look for hunger and ambition, growth mindset, and a match with our culture, and often times we find that with students. Be present: Today Nadya Stroomer-Korovina and Frouke Bamps are at Ekonomika vzw in Belgium speaking with students about the Mainfreight Development Programme. This is the first of 11 upcoming events around Europe we'll be attending. Be different: we go against the grain with most things we do. We do things a bit differently. We like to get to know the students on a personal level, we ask them deep questions, we take an interest in THEM, and don't just spurt a rant about our company. This sounds simple right? Yes, so why isn't everyone doing it? No idea... Take an interest, listen, listen, listen. Do these three things, and you'll stick in your target audience's mind! Another edition of the SKEMA's career Fair held yesterday and it was grandiose. Imagine staffs of the best consulting firms of France and even Europe united in one place; SKEMA Business School. That's exactly what happened. The companies were there and the students answered present; - Smart dressing - Updated CV in hand - Determined faces - ingenuous minds It was a fair indeed... The Talent and Careers department did an amazing job pulling this together as they always do. Kuddos to the T&C Ambassadors too for propagating the news to our school mates urging them to take advantage of this platform. Personally, I was able share my educational background and professional experience to amazing recruiters with genuine intentions of spotting talents. I learned more about their firms and got interesting contacts which I'm eager to develop discussions with here on LinkedIn. Moreso, I enjoyed the free photoshoot offered by Skema to all the participants. A lovely setting with a lovely photographer (demo below). BYU–HAWAII APCC 2024 Asia Pacific Career Conference is one of the coolest events that I can pariticipate as a student here in BYUH. Companies from various different places come to our school and meet with us, students to know about our school and share their experiences to us while creating countless opportunities for us through networking and possibly hiring us after gradution or through internships. I really love this event because I get to meet a lot of people who lead the companies around the world. Even though they are from many different places, they all have similar values and expectations from students like me. For example: - to have a good work ethic - to work in a diverse environment - to adapt and learn quickly - to use critical thinking skills - to be genuinely good human being The last one is probably the most important thing for me because company culture is very important for the employees to work efficiently, and having kindness that cares for each other really improve that culture. The list continues but I just want to show my gratitude for every companies that came to our school and giving us these opportunities. I went to APCC career fair event where every company representatives introduces their companies and give valuable information to us, and then I went to the networking event where we can just network and have meaningful conversations. I really like this event because not only students get to meet with them but companies can network with each other to learn from each other which created even greater opportunities for them as well.

The best advice I have for incoming students is to talk to give it your best at the first job fair that way you can sit back and relax at second one.
