In the world of sustainable business practices, the term "affected stakeholders" has gained significant importance. These are individuals or groups whose human rights have been or may be impacted by a company's operations, products, services, or supply chains. Today, an increasing number of governments are making human rights due diligence a legal obligation for businesses. This means that companies must thoroughly assess the risks and potential impacts they might have on affected stakeholders, disclose this information, and take action to mitigate any negative consequences. Engaging with affected stakeholders is not just about compliance; it's about creating a positive impact and securing a sustainable future. At Eco Edge- Integrating Sustainability in Value Chains of Companies, we believe that understanding and actively engaging with affected stakeholders is not just a legal requirement but also an essential component of building resilience and sustainability. We work with organizations to integrate sustainability across their value chains, ensuring responsible practices and ethical business conduct. The Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) framework, introduced by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), underscores the imperative for listed companies to disclose their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) related information based on National Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct (NGRBC) principle. This mandatory disclosure mechanism aims to foster transparency and stimulate the adoption of responsible and sustainable business practices among corporations. The 8th principle of NGRBC emphasizes the importance of proactive measures to minimize adverse effects on local communities, particularly vulnerable and marginalized groups. 1. It encourages businesses to invest in innovative products, technologies, and processes that promote the well-being of all segments of society, while also responding to national and local development priorities. 2. This principle advocates for the humane and transparent management of processes such as displacement, ensuring just and fair compensation for those affected. 3. It underscores the importance of respecting intellectual property and traditional knowledge, while also striving for equitable sharing of benefits derived from such knowledge. 4. The principle serves as a catalyst for companies to integrate sustainability principles into their core business strategies, thereby contributing to the broader goals of social responsibility and environmental stewardship. #brsr #sustainability #sustainabilityreporting #sustainabledevelopment #sustainabilitymatters #sustainabilityinnovation #sustainabledevelopmentgoals #sustainabilitymatters #sustainabilitystrategy #esg #esgreporting #esgstrategy #environmental #sustainability #governance #climatechange #climatesolutions #risk #riskmanagement #riskadvisory #riskassessment Sanchita Gairola Mishra Ranjan Kumar Mishra BIJAN MISHRA Bisweswar Pattnaik Kalpesh Thombare PRERNA GHAI ROHIT SRIVASTAVA Prasanjit Saha Shruti Bakshi Kallol Borah Daizy Vashisht Anisha Udaykumar Himani Rani Dhruvin Sojitra
