Social justice is deeply connected to environmental justice. The systems and ideologies that support oppression and violence to people also support the degradation and exploitation of lands, waterways and precious ecosystems. It is important to think deeply about the relationships we all have and participate in. Where we can we must value and stand up for caring and reciprocal relationships with others and environments. How can you raise your voice for caring and equitable relationships to people and the environment? #restorativerevolution

Take a look at this eye-opening mini-doc by my People over Plastic colleague Mary Black who recently took a toxic tour of an aluminum facility in West Baden, North Carolina. We need to be closely examining extractive industries as a whole and understand who is being impacted, and the legacy of those impacts. #peopleoverplastic #plasticpollution #environmentaljustice
