ESG in Christof Industries has no borders: Let's take a moment to reflect on the remarkable journey in 2023 of Christof Industries companies in Croatia and Slovenia and share the progress our teams achieved. Despite all challenges, CI-SLO and CI-CRO have only had positive results and have emerged stronger this year than ever. These two highly professional companies operate very closely within the group of companies in Christof Industries to provide high-performing manpower for industrial projects. An outstanding highlight of the year was the successful completion of our restructuring process, which underpins our commitment to sustainability. UOB and TÜV SÜD in Singapore join hands on UOB’s Sustainability-Linked Advisory, Grants and Enablers (SAGE) Programme, dedicated to empowering SMEs on their sustainability journey. The SAGE Programme, supported by Enterprise Singapore, aims to simplify sustainability-linked financing solutions, enabling SMEs to achieve their Sustainability Performance Targets (SPTs) and access financial incentives by leveraging the expertise of sustainability service partners such as TÜV SÜD. Through services like ISO management system certification, training, validation, and verification of GHG emissions offered by TÜV SÜD, SMEs can adopt assurance solutions and standards seamlessly to meet their SPTs. Together, we are equipping SMEs with the knowledge and resources necessary to thrive in a sustainable economy and shape a greener tomorrow! 'ESG as a Catalyst for Long-Term Business Potential' was the topic I was most drawn to at last week's Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad's Bizsmart conference. Roy Heong, Mohan Avvari, and Kian Keat Gan passionately shared that ESG isn't just for big corporations - it's relevant to businesses of all sizes. Yet, as I looked around the room, it was disheartening to see so many empty seats. This was a conference aimed at Malaysian entrepreneurs and business owners, the very people who could benefit most from understanding ESG principles and applications. It made me wonder: are we missing the bigger picture?
